What do you get when you mix VR, Sci-Fi, and Capture the Flag?
Capture the Orb (Capture the Flag style game mode).
During my time as the Concept Artist on VAIL VR, I was tasked with prop design for the Orb and the Orb Base.
I also explored various VFX concept art that looked interesting but also served for gameplay purposes resetting, capturing, and holding the orb by players.

Concept idea to tie in storytelling from the game lore. Using the artifact prop I designed from our Search & Destroy game mode, I imagined it exploded to reveal the interior being an orb that could be used for Capture The Flag (Orb) game mode.
